Continuing Education
During renewal cycles, the PHCC of Iowa offers quality continuing education classes to assist members, and non-members alike, in obtaining their CEU credits for license renewal. The State of Iowa’s license renewal cycle is on an every three-year rotation, with all licensees renewing at the same time. In line with this schedule, PHCC of Iowa offers 8-hour continuing education courses (2 hours code, 2 hours safety, 4 hours discipline) primarily during the 9 to 12 months prior to the renewal date.
If you are in need of classes during a time when we do not have classes scheduled, be sure to check out the State’s Training Calendar to see if other State-approved organizations may be hosting anything.
Current Licensing Cycle Ended on: June 30, 2026

Upcoming Classes
There are no further classes being offered by PHCC in this cycle, be sure to check out the State's Training Calendar to see if other State-approved organizations may be hosting anything.
Continuing Education Hours Tracking
The State Licensing Board has given licensees the responsibility of tracking their own continuing education hours. Be sure to retain your certificates so that you may reference them during your license renewal - the State Board will NOT have these hours on file for you. Please also note that PHCC-IA has records for only those classes that you have taken through PHCC-IA.
